Transforming Digital Landscape - Afghanistan

GTR is proud to contribute to the advancement of Central Asia's digital transformation by delivering cutting-edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions. Our projects aim to enhance government operations, elevate public services, and fortify national security. While we have impactful initiatives across the region, Afghanistan stands out as a cornerstone of our efforts, hosting some of our most notable achievements. Below is an overview of our key projects in Afghanistan:

MAJOR PROJECTS

AFGHANISTAN NATIONAL ID CARD

GTR successfully implemented Afghanistan's National ID Project, delivering secure, state-of-the-art e-government software applications and polycarbonate National ID cards. These cards are embedded with advanced biometric and security features, ensuring seamless and reliable identity verification for Afghan citizens. This initiative is one of the largest and most impactful identity programs in the region.

DRIVING LICENSE & VEHICLE REGISTRATION SYSTEMS

In Afghanistan, we designed and developed the Electronic Driving License and Vehicle Registration Systems and provided 100% polycarbonate smart cards equipped with overt and covert security features. These cards modernize Traffic services and ensure greater efficiency in government operations.

AFGHANISTAN NATIONAL DATACENTER (ANDC)

GTR has designed and deployed advanced data centers for Central Asian governments, including Afghanistan. These centers form the backbone of critical national infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operations for essential services.

UNDP WEPS DR DATA CENTER

Funded by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), GTR established the Disaster Recovery (DR) Data Center for the Women's Empowerment Program System (WEPS). This facility ensures data security and operational continuity, supporting vital programs of UNDP WEPS.

CARD PRINTING FACILITY

GTR deployed high-end card printing machines to facilitate the production of National ID Cards in Afghanistan. This facility delivers secure, high-volume printing capabilities, ensuring quality and reliability in national identification programs.

AUAF SERVER FARM

GTR successfully delivered a high-performance server room for the American University of Afghanistan. The project included cutting-edge IT infrastructure that meets international standards, ensuring smooth academic operations and secure data management.

RAVAN SERVICES

GTR developed and managed a comprehensive one-window operation for Afghanistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Our services included registration, attestation, verification, authorization, and notary of government documents such as birth certificates, marriage licenses, and ID cards. The project improved efficiency and accessibility for citizens and government entities alike.

AFMIS DATA CENTER

GTR successfully renovated and deployed the Afghanistan Financial Management Information System (AFMIS) Data Center. This advanced infrastructure empowers the government to streamline financial operations with precision and transparency.
